The Houston Airport System, comprised of William P. Hobby Airport and George Busy International Airport, has has taken a major step toward delivering a seamless travel experience with the successful completion of the first phase of its Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) modernization project—featuring TIBA’s cutting-edge, modern parking system. This rollout marks the debut of a fully cashless parking experience at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport’s (IAH) EcoPark 2 and Lot C.
Implemented by Associated Time Instruments, the solution includes TIBA’s advanced X60 hardware and SPARK cloud-based software, powered by License Plate Recognition (LPR) and Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology. These enhancements enable contactless entry and exit, digital wallet payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay, and streamlined operations for travelers and staff alike.
At Hobby Airport, the Red and Blue Garages are now fully cashless, allowing drivers with online reservations made 12+ hours in advance to enjoy frictionless access using LPR. The phased rollout continues across all HAS parking facilities, transforming traditional parking into a fast, digital-first experience.
The project was completed on time, earning written praise from the Houston Airport System. Special recognition goes to the dedicated Houston team—Ed Lammer, Marlon Lewis, Jay Markle, Liz Young, David Drake, and Teddy Hopper—as well as the broader ATI and TIBA teams whose expertise laid the groundwork for success.
As the summer travel season approaches, these upgrades are delivering faster entry, reduced wait times, and an overall elevated parking experience for Houston travelers. Next up: expanding the system to IAH Terminal A/B and EcoPark.
Smart. Seamless. Cashless. The future of airport parking is underway.
